The Pligg CMS has grown tremendously in just a few years time. The development team is hard at work constantly churning out updates and new patches for their libraries. Often times the community is able to release new collections and launches of the most popular brands running the open source script.
I’ve been an avid fan of Pligg CMS for a long time now. It’s an open source project, allowing anyone to download and run their own social news community similar to Digg and Reddit. I have my own case study for Pligg as well, and recently BizSugar has caught my attention.
I love social media, I’ll get that off my chest right now. There are so many new and innovative websites popping up each and every day which take the idea of social networking and spin it around with some new features and a new look, then present it to you in a clean and elegant way. Well Craze.cc is certainly one of those sites, and the idea is spreading fast.
The popular Digg-clone script Pligg has released their latest version as of today, stable release 1.0.4. There are a lot of new features from 1.0.3a and 1.0.3b releases of the CMS script, which have fixed a lot of security issues and bugs in the code.
I just want to say, I absolutely love Pligg. It’s an amazing PHP script, free to download which allows you to set up your own social news site similar to Digg. Many micro-niche sites have popped up running on Pligg’s backend, and CypherBox is my latest find.
I am extremely fond of the new social news script Pligg CMS. I have been following it since early release, and updating Pligg sites used to be very difficult. However from instructions from this wiki, you can use TortoiseSVN to control the version and upgrades of your Pligg site with ease.
