When trying to install a Joomla 3.x.x Component, Module or Plugin you receive the error message:

No installation plugin has been enabled. At least one must be enabled to be able to use the installer. Go to the Plugin Manager to enable the plugins.

Follow these steps to solve the problem:

1. Click on **Extensions->Manage->Discover

   

   **

2. Click on the Discover button at the right/ top of the screen

   

3. The following three plugins will show:

   • Installer - Install from Folder
   • Installer - Install from Upload
   • Installer - Install from URL

4. Check the checkbox next to each of the above and click on the Install button

   

5. This will install the missing installation plugins.

6. After installation go to the Plugins management section of your Joomla installation by clicking on Extensions->Plugins and enable the following plugins:

   • Installer - Install from Folder
   • Installer - Install from Upload
   • Installer - Install from URL

7. Now all installation plugins have been installed and enabled. You will be able to install Components/ Modules and Plugins again.
